The East Haven Store , along with 300 Home Depot associates from across New England stuffed 5,100 buckets with winter jackets, gloves, hand warmers, cough drops, tooth brushes and toothpaste and other essential items for the homeless. Providing essentials to help get them through the winter. These were shipped from our facility in tractor trailers to Gillette stadium. These 5100 buckets were picked up by Police and Fire Departments across the Boston area to be distributed to Homeless Veterans in need. They have done this for the past several years.

They have sponsored and taken part in the wreaths across America event in East Haven in years past 

They also took part in at a warming center in New Haven over the winter. Again, focusing on homeless veterans in need and also provided them with a hot meal for the evening. 

During Covid they donated materials to the American Legion to update their facility. 

They took part in a kitting project in partnership with the East Haven Police and Fire Department where we donated $18,000 in emergency essential products to fill buckets for classrooms for schools in the Town of East Haven. They donated $10,000 in materials and volunteered their time to beautify the outside area for the kids to play and created a patio area for the kids and parents to meet when be introduced back together again.  

They  built sheds for storage,  stained the fence around perimeter, cleared then built a full patio, cleaned garden beds and mulched. Provided flowers and plantings for the property.

Home Depot also donated the Giving Tree for the East Haven Chamber of Commerce Annual Tree Lighting. In this area where the tree is guests can donate toys to support the East Haven Firefighters Toy Drive for the Town of East Haven.
